Hike It! is a new backpacking board game that lets you plan a trip through the beautiful and challenging Smoky Mountains.

Maintain your gear, find water, eat food, stop at camps, overcome challenges, adapt your route, & test your knowledge,… all while visiting some of the most magnificent scenic spots in the Smokies.

The game is unique, dynamic and immersive because YOU determine your own hiking route through the Smoky Mountain trail system. YOU choose the gear you think you need, YOU manage your own pace during the game, and YOU get to choose the awesome scenic points to visit during your hike.

Hike It! forces you to adapt your hike due to the challenges you will face on your journey – such as weather, thirst, hunger, injury, water crossings & wildlife. Choosing the right trails with camps and water sources, while maintaining the proper gear will help you counter these obstacles. The game offers a unique experience each time you play.

The game also introduces an educational aspect through trivia questions about the park’s mountains, trails, history, wildlife and must-see scenic areas that can offer even more opportunities if you have the knowledge.

The HIKE IT! Board game needs volunteer advisors to help ensure the game is accurate, immersive & fun. I am looking for about 5 people to help me with this mission. Would only be about 10 hours total, over a 3-4 week period. (a mixture of online chats and video calls)

Requesting people who have…

• Hiking & backpacking  experience.
• Experience with the Smoky Mountains.
• Experience with board games

Due to lack of budget, Hike It! cannot offer any monetary compensation for your time – but CAN offer…

• Full credit as an official game advisor on the board game (rule book) and the official website – assuming it gets funded.
• A free full version of the game once it is complete and ready for sale – assuming it gets funded.
